Silver Frame
My framed emotion,
Upon the hearth,
Sits silent, cold…watching.
What have I done,
To let it go,
And place upon it a silver frame?
I can see the images of long ago,
Fleeting though they may be.
Happiness felt only by a child…
I feel no fear, just frivolous bliss.
What emotion is this, again?
This joy.
This simple pleasure,
I feel when my eyes
Cast upon the glass,
That holds this sentiment…
Long forgotten, covered in dust.
I hear the laughter of a child's game,
But I know it not to be mine.
I feel the warmth of a summer's glee,
But I know it not to be true.
Unspoken words,
Scream at me,
Yet, I hear not but a whisper.
So I sit by the fire,
My gaze intent upon the glimmering silver.
And I wonder once more,
In my heart, not my mind…
What have I done,
To let it go,
And place upon it a silver frame?

Kitsunia's Website: www.sacred-rain.com -VCrock: A great website for all things Inuyasha. This girl put a lot of hard work into it, so you had better check it out. She knows where you live. If she doesn't, I do.
